Singing lessons

Let me help you discover how delightful it can be to sing. You only sing repertoire you enjoy yourself, from classical to pop and from children’s songs to jazz. I mostly give individual lessons, to both adults and children. You learn how the voice works, and how to use your own voice more easily and more comfortably, with a more beautiful result.

Who are the lessons for?

My singing lessons are for everyone who wants to sing: children and adults, beginners and advanced singers. Would you like to learn classical singing, or would you rather sing pop, jazz or musical theatre? You choose the music you want to work on. If you sing in a choir or are preparing for a performance, we can work on that repertoire too.

What happens in a lesson?

The lessons are one-to-one, so all the attention goes to your voice. Learning to sing is learning to do less: relaxing the muscles you don’t need to produce sound, so that you get a more beautiful tone. Singing well feels better, sounds better and looks better. We always work on songs you love.

Fees

The length of a children’s lesson depends on the age and on the child.

Locations

In Elst (Utrecht) I teach in my own voice studio at Franseweg 109, 3921 DG Elst.

In De Bilt I teach in a studio at Dr. Letteplein 3, 3731 JR De Bilt. There is currently no room for new students in De Bilt.

Easy to reach from the region

Elst lies in the municipality of Rhenen, between Rhenen and Veenendaal. This makes my studio easy to reach from Wageningen, Amerongen, Leersum, Kesteren and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug as well. More about singing lessons in and around Elst.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a singing lesson cost?

A singing lesson for adults lasts 60 minutes and costs € 50. Children have a lesson of 30 minutes (€ 35) or 40 minutes (€ 40), depending on the age and on the child.

Do you also teach children?

Yes. Children have a shorter lesson of 30 or 40 minutes. They sing what they enjoy, from children’s songs to pop.

Can I take lessons if I have never sung before?

Yes. I teach students of all ages and all levels, from beginners to advanced singers.

What music can I sing?

Whatever you love: classical, pop, jazz, children’s songs and everything in between. I have sung songs from more than 60 countries in more than 40 languages myself.

Where are the lessons?

In my own voice studio at Franseweg 109 in Elst (Utrecht), in the municipality of Rhenen. There is currently no room for new students in De Bilt.

Do you give group lessons?

I mostly give individual lessons. For small groups (up to 5 participants) I organise vocal workshops.
