The Music Studio (Het Muziekatelier) was an initiative for Art Weekend 2012 (Weekendje Kunst), a collaboration between the art groups NIK&Co, of which I am a member, and BeeKk, and the Bilthoven shopkeepers’ association. A whole day of masterclasses, workshops and an open stage, with the cooperation of 5 professional music teachers. I coached an octet, gave a masterclass to the young soprano Romy Both and a vocal workshop with many participants. Freek Zwanenberg gave a workshop and masterclasses in improvisation. In total more than 60 people made music!
I very much hope to organise another Music Studio one day, as it gave joy to many.
