In 2013, when De Bilt celebrated its 900th anniversary, the De Bilt municipal council invited the councils of its twin towns Coesfeld (Germany) and Mieścisko (Poland) to a meeting on Saturday 22 June 2013, during the Music Weekend themed ‘Connecting by making music together’. At this meeting Wanda Peters and Freek Zwanenberg performed two Polish songs by Frédéric Chopin. Wanda sang in Polish, which the Polish delegation greatly appreciated.
