On International Women's Day Wanda gave the "Preek van de leek" (lay sermon) in the Oosterlichtkerk in Bilthoven, at the invitation of the ecumenical working group in De Bilt. She spoke about gender inequality, women's rights and human rights, and about openness, hope and progress as the ingredients for living better together.
With pianist Adriaan Plantinga she sang songs by women composers that connected directly with her story and the position of women. The collection, more than € 800, went to the project The Silent Wounds of War by photographer Mona van den Berg.
