For its 30th anniversary Het Orkest van Utrecht made an open call to singers from the Utrecht region. Some forty applications came in, from soloists and duos to a band. After a selection on video, sixteen acts were invited to the auditions, followed by joint rehearsals with the orchestra. Wanda sang as a soprano in the two anniversary concerts.
Before the interval the programme was classical, with famous opera arias by Verdi, Rossini, Puccini and Berlioz; after the interval came lighter music, with excerpts from musicals such as Les Misérables and a set with a band. The orchestra has been conducted by Michiel van Vliet since 2012.
